Freeda Harris Center is a Gem in Coal Country

Nestled in the hills of Eastern Kentucky, the Freeda Harris Baptist Center is a ministry of the Kentucky Baptist Convention and the North American Mission Board. Directors Greg and Alice Whitetree share the message of Christ through ministries like after school clubs, vacation Bible school, sports camps, hunger relief, clothing distribution, craft classes, basketball leagues, transportation to medical appointments, seasonal celebrations and special evangelistic events. This ministry overview and brief glimpse at the life of ministry founder Freeda Harris explains why volunteers from across the country feel compelled to come share Christ and meet needs.

My favorite part of this video is the story about Freeda Harris taking the shoes off her feet and giving them to a woman so she could go to church. Wow!
